Man taken into custody after attempted Food Lion robbery

An attempted robbery at the Food Lion on Country Club Road ended with a man in custody, according to a news release from the Winston-Salem Police Department.

Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a tobacconist at Slacks Creek last night, 21 July. Initial investigations indicate that around 10.40pm, three male offenders arrived at a tobacconist on Kingston Road in a Ford Falcon sedan that had been reported as stolen from Rand Place at Bridgeman Downs on 18 July.
