GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Tornado data is showing a shift in tornado alley to the east in recent years. Tornadoes are becoming more common east of the Mississippi River, and less common in areas like eastern Texas. Tornadoes are most likely in the spring and summer months in the United States.
