ASF detects payments for clearing in Mayan Train for 2,428 mdp

The Superior Audit of the Federation (ASF) detected excessive payments in the process of construction of some infrastructure works, such as the Nichupté vehicle bridge in Cancun; the rehabilitation of the MEX-307 Airport-Bulevar Kukulcán road, as well as the Interubano Mexico-Toluca Train, according to the third and final delivery of the 2023 public account monitoring report.

The Higher Audit of the Federation (ASF) determined that the National Tourism Promotion Fund (Fonatur) and the Ministry of National Defence (Sedena) totaled 2,427,9 million pesos in payments to be clarified (54 per cent of the total) and overpayments in works and services during 2023 in the construction of the Maya Train.
