Ascension’s exit from Michigan driven by secular competition, investments

Ascension Health is unloading its Michigan operations. Last week, the St. Louis-based system said Midland-based MyMichigan Health would take over its three Northern hospitals only a few months after it announced Henry Ford Health would assume ownership of its eight Southeast Michigan hospitals.
