Union Home Minister Amit Shah has approved an advance release of over Rs 1,950 crore for Karnataka and Maharashtra. This is the second instalment of the State Disaster Response Fund for the 2025-26 financial year. The funds will help the states provide immediate relief to people affected by heavy rainfall and floods this monsoon.
