As Cadillac Races to First F1 Season, Insiders Advise Patience for U.S. Fans
- On Sunday, Cadillac Formula 1 revealed its 2026 livery during a 30‑second Super Bowl LX commercial airing around 9:38 pm ET.
- General Motors framed the spot as a moon‑launch moment to maximise U.S. exposure, and Translation, led by Steven Stoute, created the ad using John F. Kennedy's 1962 speech alongside Apollo mission audio.
- The livery itself features an asymmetrical design with white on one side and black on the other, while the broadcast car displayed Tommy Hilfiger, Jim Beam, IFS and Claro sponsors.
- While the team tested in Bahrain, experienced drivers Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas will race for Cadillac in 2026 as the season opener is less than 30 days away.
- Longer term, Cadillac plans to build U.S. power units from 2029 and move major operations to Fishers, Indiana in the coming years after running Ferrari engines for its first three seasons.
