Arsenal Sent New Transfer Update over £85m Football 'Phenomenon'
Arsenal are prepared to wait until the final days of the transfer window to conclude a deal for Atletico Madrid attacker Julian Alvarez, actively pursuing the Argentine forward to complete their summer business.
Although Alvarez prefers joining Barcelona, Atletico Madrid has ruled out that move, demanding £150m for any transfer while the attacker faces hostility from supporters displaying "Julian OUT" signs outside the training ground on Friday.
Atletico executive Gil Marin defended the forward on Friday, insisting the club remains supportive. "We are going to help Julian and continue to take care of him," Marin said, accusing rival clubs of disrespectful pursuit tactics.
Manager Mikel Arteta has already spent over £150million this summer on reinforcements, including Christos Tzolis, Bruno Guimaraes, and Ezri Konsa, after the team began their Premier League title defense with an impressive 3-0 victory against Coventry City on Friday.
Juventus boss Luciano Spalletti maintains the club is "very calm" regarding Kenan Yildiz's future in Turin, even as Arsenal remains interested in the forward as an alternative should the Alvarez deal fail to materialize.
