Patrick Nolan: Man jailed for sex attack on woman who tried to fit him with electronic tag
Patrick Nolan was sentenced to six and a half years in prison and ordered to register indefinitely as a sex offender after assaulting a monitoring officer at his home.

- During the visit, Nolan, who had been drinking, retrieved a knife and grabbed at the officer's clothing during a struggle that left her with a minor laceration, Lady Ross said.
- The court stressed Nolan's record, noting more than 30 previous convictions and imposed indefinite placement on the sex offenders register and an indefinite harassment order.
- Nolan appeared from prison via videolink and, according to Shahid Latif, `He has told me in terms that no one should have had to go through what happened that day`, showing no reaction as the sentence was handed down.
