On January 30, Ruth and her 17-year-old daughter were murdered in the flat where they lived. The author of the crime was Ruth's partner, who, after the second murder, ended his own life. The only survivor of the tragedy was the daughter in common at home, a 15-month-old baby who was given to the care of the grandparents. Aristides, Ruth's father, was the one who found the bodies in the room.
