'Fleetwood Mac: The Chain' Documentary Coming to Apple TV in January
The first fully authorized Fleetwood Mac documentary will feature never-before-seen footage and exclusive interviews as it traces the band’s 50-plus-year history.
On January 29, 2027, Apple TV will debut The Chain, the first fully authorized documentary about Fleetwood Mac, directed by Frank Marshall.
Produced by The Kennedy/Marshall Company and White Horse Pictures, the project features perspectives from Grammy Award-winning Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks.
Featuring "never-before-seen footage and exclusive new interviews," the documentary traces the band's "uncompromising 50-plus-year history" and their musical union that sold more than 220 million records worldwide.
Buckingham described the production process as a "very circular healing process for all of us," suggesting previous feuds between members are now behind them.
Filmmaker Marshall, a five-time Oscar nominee, brings credentials from acclaimed projects including The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, with producers Nigel Sinclair and Jeanne Elfant Festa.
