HANNAH, ADMINISTRATOR, THE BOCA GRANDE DISASTER FUND After Hurricanes Helene and Milton in October 2024, the local Sheriff’s Deputy’s home at 300 Wheeler Street was totally destroyed by 4½ feet of water. Moving into 2025, the Boca Grande Disaster Fund committed funds of $228,000 toward the rebuilding of the home. In June 2025, the Lee County Commissioners voted to commit $200,000 to the project.
