Mental health of youth has worsened during and after Covid-19 pandemic. The number of young people aged 12-25 receiving antidepressants was already increasing before the pandemic. The rate of antidepressant prescriptions for this group also increased in the same period, according to a study published in Pediatrics. 'Differences by sex are, by far, what stood out the most', said study first author Dr. Kao-Ping Chua.
