Anti-government protesters detained outside Israeli minister's home, despite court order
Police detained seven protesters outside Education Minister Yoav Kisch's home and confiscated their phones, their lawyer said. The move appears to defy a district court ruling that the right to protest outweighs a public figure's right to privacy
The demonstrators arrived in Arab clothing and with amplification equipment through which they played songs against the government and the Qatari funds that were previously transferred to Hamas. During the demonstration, police forces arrived after complaints were received about noise from Yoav Kish's neighbors. In the past, a protester was injured in a confrontation with police at the same location
In Sheikh Costumes and Chants of "We Have Been Abandoned": Protest in Front of Minister Kish's House
Anti-government protesters held a protest in front of Yoav Kish's house in Hod Hasharon this morning. Participants carried signs that read, among other things: "State Commission of Inquiry Now" and "We have been abandoned." Music was played during the demonstration, and the protesters said they came to the scene to "remind us not to forget the Qatar-Gate affair."
