Gérard Malaussena, 45 years old, had disappeared on 13 January during a mission near the French station Dumont d'Urville, located in Terre Adélie.
The body of Gérald Malaussena was found on Thursday 22 January. The agent of the French Polar Institute Paul-Emile-Victor had disappeared under the ice about ten days ago, during a diving mission to Terre-Adélie.
Originally from Marseille and living in the Drôme region, this 45-year-old professional technician and diver had disappeared during a mission to monitor a scientific instrument under the ice near the coast of Terre-Adélie.
