On Saturday, a strong storm front passed over Poland. By 7 p.m., firefighters had recorded over 700 interventions. Photos of large hail that fell in the Świętokrzyskie and Lublin provinces appeared online. One of the videos also shows how close it was to a tornado forming in one of the regions.
For several days now, an atmospheric front has been located over Poland, bringing heavy rainfall, storms, and gales. One of them swept through Włocławek (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship). On Friday, June 6, it was dangerous there, as can be seen in the recordings published by residents!
IMWM warned that due to complicated weather conditions the warnings may be raised to a higher level.
IMGW has issued storm warnings for all provinces. Strong winds and heavy rainfall are expected in many regions. In some places, winds exceeding 100 km/h may occur.
