How Much Man United Will Make as Andre Onana Signs New Loan Deal
Trabzonspor will cover most of his wages, and Manchester United could receive up to £1.3 million in performance-related fees.
On Friday, Manchester United confirmed goalkeeper Andre Onana will return to Trabzonspor on a one-year loan for the 2026/27 season after signing paperwork Thursday following a holiday.
United informed Onana he would not dislodge Senne Lammens as the No. 1 goalkeeper; management viewed his salary as too high for a backup role.
Trabzonspor will cover the 'majority' of Onana's salary, while United could receive a performance-dependent loan fee of up to $1.7 million with no purchase option included.
Onana played 34 times for Trabzonspor last season, helping the club secure the Turkish Cup and end a four-year trophy drought while finishing third in the league.
Scheduled to return to Old Trafford next summer, Onana remains under contract with United for two more years and hopes to eventually challenge for his place in the team.
