The tariff war already led to the closure of a factory in Bécancour
The tariff war launched by the President of the United States on Tuesday has already resulted in the closure of a first plant in Quebec. The Alubar factory in Bécancour, which produces aluminum rods from the molten metal from nearby aluminium plants, ABI, announced on Monday night that it was ceasing its operations following the US President's decision to impose tariffs on all Canadian products.
