Abhiram Garapati -- who describes himself as a selfmade entrepreneur, cattle rancher, Christian and dedicated family man -- is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Texas’ 31st Congressional District. He is challenging a longtime incumbent whose tenure has drawn increasing criticism from conservative voters.
