An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) spotted by fishermen in the sea off Hopa district of Artvin province has prompted extensive security measures. A 600-meter security perimeter has been established around the area due to the possibility of it carrying explosives. Coast Guard and Special Forces commandos have begun work to safely detonate the UAV. Artvin Governor Turan Ergün announced that the object would be safely destroyed.
