Research - Europe wants to test the influence of gravity on time in space
Europe wants to send atomic clocks into space to learn more about the influence of gravity on time. The instrument "Aces" developed for this purpose is to fly into space from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida in the morning on board a "Dragon" capsule of the US space company SpaceX. Tomorrow it will arrive at the International Space Station ISS.
Atomic Clocks: How Einstein's thesis is now tested in space
The instrument Aces of the European Space Agency Esa is to send the accurate time signal ever out of space. During the mission, researchers are also examining fundamental assumptions of Albert Einstein about gravity.
How gravity influences time. The European Space Agency will test the Einstein effect with atomic clocks aboard the Space Station
The European Space Agency (ESA) will launch the ACES atomic clock set, which will be docked to the International Space Station, to measure the effect of gravity on the passage of time, AFP reports.
