- Shah said the root of the problem is ideological, noting Maoism is an ideology-driven challenge that spread in the 1980s to bordering districts despite over 100 districts being more backward than Bastar.
- At a Raipur security review meeting, Shah credited a security-centric strategy and strikes on Naxal finances for positive results, noting over 500 Naxalites were killed in 2024 and 2025.
- The government unveiled a Bastar development roadmap that includes irrigation projects on the Indravati river for 2.75 lakh hectares, 120 MW power generation, and a 118-acre industrial area.
- With cultural revival under way, Shah noted over 55,000 attended Bastar Pandum 2026 with 12 disciplines, and said `They must be sent for rehabilitation as their whole lives lie ahead of them' regarding young tribal girls.
