- The company historically relied on USPS, using the service about 1.7 billion times a year, while USPS opened access to more than 18,000 destination delivery units.
- At a congressional hearing, Steiner said USPS officials warned that USPS could be out of cash within 12 months, or as early as October, if required payments are made, and 'I couldn't tell you where that's going to end' — Steiner told Reuters.
- Amazon said it submitted a bid for the USPS auction, hopes to continue the partnership even at a reduced level, and will prepare to meet customers' delivery needs regardless of the auction outcome.
