- BigBasket told the authority it stopped selling Datura and changed labeling practices. Swiggy Instamart requested additional time to submit documentation, while Amazon did not respond to the notice issued by Food Safety Commissioner K. Srinivas.
- The department directed platforms to remove all Datura listings and advertisements immediately. Future sales must carry the label "NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION," and suspension extends to suppliers providing products to these e-commerce platforms.
- Authorities stated that further violations will invite additional legal consequences under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and the Food Safety and Standards Rules, 2011. Compliance reports are due from all parties involved.
