All 4 Moscow Airports Restrict Flights Amid Drone Attack
Rosaviatsia said the curbs followed a drone attack as more than 200 flights were delayed and about 100 were canceled.
On Friday, all four airports serving Moscow imposed temporary flight restrictions at 3:40 p.m. amid a drone attack, Rosaviatsia said, with closures affecting Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky.
Separately, authorities in Yaroslavl claimed forces shot down reconnaissance balloons launched from Ukrainian territory, while residents across Moscow reported air defense activity and explosions.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said air defenses destroyed 15 drones approaching the capital, while Informator reported the disruption affected hundreds of flights, with more than 200 delayed and around 100 canceled.
