Alicante: the Chronicle of an Announced Abandonment

As much as the headlines say: “Alicante on the edge of a new record of employment”, the reality is less optimistic. Although more companies are created and membership increases, most new jobs are low-skilled and low-wage. Meanwhile, Alicante loses thousands of qualified young people every year, industry collapses, GDP per capita falls sharply and investment in innovation is half that in Valencia.
