Full List as Aldi Announces Major Changes for 25 UK Stores
The upgrades will add space, refresh fresh food and bakery areas, and include energy-saving features across stores.
Aldi is preparing to refurbish 25 stores across the nation this summer as part of a £300 million investment into existing outlets throughout 2026.
Focusing on sustainability, the improvements aim to create more convenient and efficient stores by installing energy-efficient fridge doors and natural refrigerants to reduce carbon emissions.
Selected locations will receive upgraded bakery, health and beauty, and fresh food sections, while stores in York, Liverpool and Yarm will undergo extensions providing wider aisles.
Jonathan Neale, Managing Director of National Real Estate at Aldi, said the refurbishments support "creating even more convenient and efficient stores for both customers and colleagues while also supporting our sustainability ambitions."
The announcement builds on Aldi's broader 2026 strategy, which includes a £370 million commitment to opening new stores, as grocery price inflation eased to 3.1% in May from 4.3% in March.
