Alcohol, speed suspected factors in crash that seriously injured motorcyclist in Lafayette County

The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to Lafayette Hospital and Clinics in Darlington, then flown by MedFlight helicopter to University Hospital in Madison.

A man was seriously injured on Wednesday evening after he ended up in a ditch with his motocross bike. This happened on the Esdoornstraat in Someren. The man then flew off the bike into an adjacent meadow. The driver was not wearing a helmet. Police, ambulance and a trauma helicopter came to the scene of the accident. After assistance from the trauma team, the man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
