India-China Agree to Seek 'Political Settlement' of Boundary Issue: MEA

The two sides agreed to keep working toward a political settlement as they reviewed progress in ties and border-area peace, officials said.

India conveyed to China the importance of border peace for bilateral ties. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi for talks. They discussed delimitation of the frontier and trans-boundary cooperation efforts. Both sides agreed to continue seeking a political settlement of the boundary question. Maintaining peace and tranquility in border areas was highlighted as crucial.
