An outbreak of malaria at Frankfurt Airport this summer has raised alarm. Experts believe parasites probably arrived in a passenger's luggage. But with the onset of fall, the risks of contracting the disease are low.

A third person has died from malaria, believed to have been brought to Germany by a mosquito caught on a plane, and six other airport workers are believed to have been infected.
In Frankfurt, a man died of malaria. According to information from Hessenschau, this is a 75-year-old man from the Schwanheim district. It is already the third malaria death case this year related to the airport.
