- Amid safety concerns, the Air Force inspected its roughly 125,000 M18 pistols, with Global Strike Command suspending use and Air Combat Command units halting the pistol for refresher training.
- The Air Force described the incident as isolated, and Security Forces Airmen will be equipped with the M4 rifle to maintain AFGSC’s security posture during the pause.
