The European Union's Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas stressed on Wednesday that the bloc's critical infrastructure needs more protection and that there is more work to do to speed up Europe's military growth in light of recent incursions into the territory. Early Wednesday morning another drone crossed into Romania and Moldova, hot on the heels of Monday's sabotage attack on a trainline in Poland. Story by Eliza Herbert.
Romania, a member of NATO and neighbouring Ukraine, mobilized early on Wednesday fighter aircraft in response to a new drone incursion into its territory, the Ministry of Defence said.
The drone overflight was detected while Russia was conducting strikes in Ukraine, near the Romanian border.
