AI healthcare platform Forus valued at $3 billion in latest funding round

Bain Capital Ventures led the round as Forus said the money will expand its AI platform into more specialties and care settings.

  • Bain Capital Ventures led the investment round, joined by existing backers Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, and Accel, bringing total funding raised to more than $300 million.
  • Operating across all 50 U.S. states, the platform deploys AI agents to automate prescription-to-treatment workflows including insurance approvals and copay assistance for nine of the 15 largest biopharmaceutical companies.
  • Proceeds will fund expansion into additional medical specialties and care settings while broadening technological capabilities and investing in workforce development.
  • Formerly known as Tandem, the startup secured $160 million in May and currently serves patients in 85% of the U.S. market, demonstrating sustained momentum.
