- Agriculture Undersecretary for Livestock, Deogracias Victor "DV" Savellano, passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 65.
- Savellano was an oversight official for the National Tobacco Administration and a member of its Governing Board. He previously served as Deputy House Speaker and Representative of the 1st District of Ilocos Sur, where he helped create the Sustainable Tobacco Enhancement Program with NTA officials and stakeholders in 2020. During his time as governor of Ilocos Sur, he initiated the KABSAT Caravan, a program that provided free farm machinery and inputs to all farmers in the province, including tobacco farmers.
