Jeddah: China PR defeated Uzbekistan 4-2 on penalties to advance to the AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ semi-finals, with their last eight tie ending in a goalless draw after extra time at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium on Saturday.
(Dan Tri Newspaper) - China U23 brilliantly defeated Uzbekistan U23 in the penalty shootout. With this result, China U23 will face Vietnam U23 in the semi-final.
On the evening of January 17th, the Chinese U23 team defeated the Uzbekistani U23 team 4-2 on penalties (after a 0-0 draw in 120 minutes) in the quarter-finals, thereby securing a place in the semi-finals of the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Championship against the Vietnamese U23 team.
