DHS: Tiktok User Suggested He Was Building Bomb Targeting Fort Worth
Mohammad Dawood Alokozay faces terroristic threat charges after posting a TikTok video about building a bomb targeting Fort Worth, ICE lodged a detainer, authorities said.
- Tuesday, Mohammad Dawood Alokozay was booked into the Tarrant County Jail after posting a TikTok video saying he was making a bomb to target the Fort Worth area.
- DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said on X that Alokozay entered under Operation Allies Welcome and was admitted as a lawful permanent resident on Sept. 7, 2022.
- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement lodged a detainer after Alokozay's arrest, Fox News cited Tarrant County Jail records, and WFAA contacted DHS, FBI and Texas Department of Public Safety for details.
- Alokozay's arrest came one day before the Washington D.C. shooting that killed one National Guard member and injured another, and the Trump administration said Friday it is halting asylum decisions and pausing Afghan passport visas.
- The DOJ Inspector General and experts told AP that U.S. vetting systems are sufficient, amid debate over vetting after the arrest of Mohammad Dawood Alokozay for terroristic threats in Fort Worth.
