Aeris Resources announced plans to acquire Peel Mining (ASX:PEX, Not Rated) and its South Cobar Cu project (Mallee Bull and Wirlong) in NSW, Australia, in an all-share deal worth A$0.234/sh (or ~A$214M) on a diluted equity basis. Peel’s other precious and base metal assets in the Cobar Basin would be spun into NewCo and eventually list on the ASX. We believe this deal could bode well for Aeris in the long-term.
