Mexico City.- The 50 percent increase in tariffs on steel and aluminium imported into the United States is affecting the Mexican auto parts industry. Gabriel Padilla, director general of the National Autoparts Industry (INA), pointed out that the most affected categories are those that have high content of these metals, in addition to copper, which already from this month was affected with a tariff also of 50 percent when entering U.S. territory.
