- Launched at the 2023 G20 Summit, the IMEC corridor is a 6,000-km multimodal link, and APSEZ said the India–EU Free Trade Agreement has boosted trade and India's leadership role.
- The MoU outlines joint campaigns, technical exchanges, capacity building in port digitalisation, cybersecurity, alternative fuels, shore power, and the creation of an IMEC Ports Club and Mundra–Marseille Green Maritime Corridor, APSEZ said.
- The signing coincided with French President Emmanuel Macron's visit, and Marseille Fos's participation adds approximately 70 million tonnes of capacity, boosting IMEC's western gateway and supply-chain resilience.
