Mankamang Kunda is a village in Jimara District in the Upper River Region of The Gambia. On 15th February 1965, just a few days before The Gambia became free from the clutches of colonialism, a son was born to a Mandinka man Mamadou Barrow and his Fula wife Kadijatou Jallow.
