WASHINGTON — About 8,000 North Korean soldiers are now in Russia near Ukraine's border and are preparing to help the Kremlin fight against Ukrainian troops in the coming days, the Biden administration said Thursday.
The Russians may deploy North Korean soldiers in Ukraine within days, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said. As he put it: so far, they have not observed a clash between North Korean and Ukrainian soldiers, but they assume that it could happen in the next few days.
