A World War II era cannon that was a prominent fixture at Burlington’s Dankwardt Park has been moved. The MK 37 cannon was moved on January 21st to the surprise of many. Burlington’s present Parks Superintendent, Ryan Gourley says wear and tear after years of being battered by the weather and curious guests had made the cannon unsafe. It had been at the park since 1965.
