At around 4:30 p.m. on the 24th, a light truck crashed into a group of four elementary school girls on bicycles on a city road in Tateyamadera-cho, Chuo-ku, Hamamatsu City. One died, one was left unconscious and in critical condition, and the other two sustained minor injuries. Hamamatsu Nishi Police Station is investigating the driver on suspicion of violating the Automobile Driving Punishment Act (negligent injury).
