Texas wedding officiant arrested after accidentally shooting grandson during wedding ceremony
Michael Gardner, a Texas county commissioner, is facing a possible felony charge in Nebraska after accidentally shooting his grandson at a wedding he was officiating.
Gardner fired a gun loaded with a blank round to get attention, but it was the dried glue from the round that hit and injured the boy. Gardner claims he never intended to hurt his grandchild.
While prosecutors have not charged Gardner with a crime yet, they will decide at a scheduled arraignment what charges, if any, will be filed against him.
