According to the official explanation, the switch was faulty, but according to provincial representative Róbert Sebők, they are again trying to deflect responsibility, as President Aleksandar Vučić did when the canopy of the Novi Sad railway station collapsed.
A passenger train traveling between Subotica and Szeged derailed today, a few minutes after leaving the station in Subotica, none of the passengers were injured, writes RTV Panon. As stated in the text, the accident happened near the Pionir factory, and it is assumed that the cause was a switch failure.
The train that left Subotica for Szeged at 1:37 p.m. derailed not far from the station, RTS learns.
