The coastal area of La Guaira was most affected by the double earthquake that struck Venezuela on Wednesday. "Nothing, no one to help us, it is we who have to pull the bodies from the rubble," explains a resident in the middle of blocks of collapsed whole houses.

Three days after the double earthquake, the central coast excavates by hand against the clock. Among the 172 still under concrete and the 243 already rescued alive, La Guaira stands by the solidarity of its neighbours and a thousand rescuers from ten countries.
