On the evening of the 6th, shortly after 7 p.m., Tomohito Owana (41) of Urasoe City photographed a rare atmospheric optical phenomenon called a "green flash," in which the top of the sun glows green just after sunrise or just before sunset, from his home. At the time, the air on the East China Sea side was clear and there were no clouds on the horizon, so he took a burst of photos with his smartphone at the moment the sun completely set.
