A fire on the overhead lines of metro line L1 in Barcelona caused frightening moments on Monday evening. A metro train carrying an estimated 300 to 400 passengers came to a standstill between the Glòries and Clot stations and filled with smoke. Several passengers subsequently had to be treated for smoke inhalation and panic attacks.
