A family's missing French bulldog found 1,000 miles away in Chicago

Luc and Loi Nguyen, brothers from Houston, were reunited with their French bulldog, Covic, who had gone missing for ten days and was found over 1,000 miles away in Chicago.
On May 14, while the brothers were preoccupied with opening their garage door, their dog Covic managed to escape, prompting them to worry he had been taken and to share flyers in their community and on social media.
Ten days later, a woman in Chicago who had unknowingly purchased Covic at Midway Airport saw their Facebook posts and contacted them to confirm the dog's identity via FaceTime.
Luc Nguyen shared with KHOU reporter Troy Kless that they feared they had lost their dog for good, while Loi Nguyen said he felt immense relief upon learning that Covic was safe and unharmed.
Following the confirmation, Nguyen flew to Chicago to retrieve Covic and the brothers had offered a $1,000 reward for the dog's return, highlighting the relief and joy of the reunion.
