A resident of a center for people with disabilities in Bóveda (Lugo) has died in recent hours after being assaulted by another resident. According to sources in the Civil Guard consulted by Europa Press, the incident occurred last Sunday, when one resident allegedly assaulted another, who then had to be taken to a hospital.
A resident of the mental health and care centre for persons with severe physical disabilities in the town of Lucense de Bóveda died after allegedly being assaulted by another user of the same complex.The events reportedly occurred during the afternoon of Sunday in the centre itself.
The victim, who lived in bed and was unable to communicate, was transferred to Monforte Hospital after Sunday’s assault. The Civil Guard investigates the case and the Monforte Court of Inquiry has opened a procedure to clarify the facts. Xunta expressed her regret and offered full cooperation with the authorities.
