A chilly start to the weekend, but it won’t last long

The weekend opens with a mix of sun and clouds but clouds will again win out during the afternoon and evening as high pressure over Michigan continues to slide off to the east.

Sunny to start the weekend, then a warmup brings storms back to Mid-Michigan

Clouds will gradually decrease tonight as high pressure over the northern Plains tracks toward the Great Lakes. With that clearing will come some chillier air, with lows eventually falling to the low 30s by daybreak. Winds will be very light out of the north, so no significant wind chills are expected.
